SENIOR BOILER SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities: –

  • Monitoring boiler operations: steam pressure, water level, draft, air flow system, flow gas temperature, and smoke density.
  • Checking all compartment boilers are running in good condition and monitor boiler water parameters.
  • Ensure boilermen and firemen do inspections of the conveyor and critical equipment for the boiler.
  • Preparing maintenance reports for any required repairs or faulty.
  • Maintain housekeeping at the boiler house, steam turbine, generator set, and water treatment plant.
  • Providing SOP training on safety and operation to the boilermen, firefighters, and operators.
  • Monitoring the steam turbine, generator, and water treatment plant operations.
  • Maintain BPR pressure (back pressure receiver) for the steam turbine.
  • Perform overhauls and preventive maintenance on all auxiliary equipment under his supervision.
  • Checking the sample water parameter and ensure all the chemical stocks are sufficient at the water treatment plant.
  • Ensure steam boiler operation in safe condition which is in compliance to the Factory and Machinery Act 1967.
  • Ensure safe working conditions by practicing good manufacturing practices (GMP) and complying with all requirements set by OSHA/DOSH regulations.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
  • Candidates with Boilerman 1st Grade and 2nd Grade certificates are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in supervising boiler operations in a palm oil mill.
  • Willing to work additional hours and, on occasion, weekends in support of business needs.
