Field Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise the work of field workers, including Harvesters, Pruners, and Maintenance Workers, to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
- Coordinate the scheduling and allocation of field activities, such as harvesting, pruning, and fertilizer application, to optimize productivity.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and utilization of field equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Monitor the progress of field activities and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance field productivity and maximize the plantation’s overall yield.
- Manage the deployment and utilization of field workers, ensuring adequate staffing levels and optimal deployment.
- Monitor the consumption of field inputs, such as fertilizers, pesticides, and fuel.
- Ensure that all field operations adhere to the plantation’s health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to field workers on proper handling of equipment, use of personal protective equipment, and safe work practices.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Mill Management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Possess Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) or Diploma or Certificate in Plantation Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role within an oil palm plantation or a similar agricultural setting.
- Fresh graduates with a Diploma or Certificate in Plantation Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
- Thorough understanding of oil palm cultivation practices, including harvesting, pruning, and field maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address field-level challenges.
- Physically fit, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic field environment.
- Based in Bintulu, Sarawak.
