Estate Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the estate, including crop management, land use, infrastructure maintenance, and resource allocation.
- Ensure the estate operates efficiently and meets productivity targets.
- Prepare and manage the estate’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal allocation of resources.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and reduce costs.
- Lead, manage, and mentor estate staff, including supervisors, labourers, and administrative personnel.
- Handle training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure proper health and safety measures are in place for employees working on the estate.
- Ensure that the estate complies with local Malaysian laws and environmental regulations, such as those related to labour, agriculture, land management, and safety.
- Implement sustainable practices to minimize the estate’s environmental impact
- Ensure adherence to sustainable agricultural practices (for plantations) or eco-friendly development standards (for estate properties).
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for estate maintenance and development activities.
- Other ad-hoc tasks from the Management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Plantation Management, Business Management, Estate Management, or related fields.
- Professional certifications in estate management or agriculture are an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate management, preferably within the agricultural or plantation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of Malaysian agricultural practices, land laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Based in Bintulu, Sarawak.
