Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Estate Manager in overseeing daily estate operations, including fieldwork planning, execution, and workforce coordination.
- Support Field Supervisors in conducting job briefings, work demonstrations, and proper task allocation to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Verify daily field outturn and assist in calculating job-specific unit costs in accordance with the estate’s cost book.
- Oversee the usage and maintenance of agricultural equipment, tractors, and machinery; ensure accurate upkeep of logbooks and maintenance records.
- Closely monitor fertilizer application to ensure every palm receives the correct dosage as per agronomic recommendations.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote workplace discipline among workers.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on field activities, planting schedules, and related operations.
- Ensure all field operations are conducted in compliance with company policies, objectives, and key performance targets.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Estate Manager or Management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of experience in plantation operations is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with a Diploma or Certificate in Plantation Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
- Thorough understanding of oil palm cultivation practices, including harvesting, pruning, and field maintenance.
- Physically fit, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic field environment.
- Based in Bintulu, Sarawak
