Head Chef

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A head chef as an ambassador for Cove55 is required to actively promote the quality image of the hotel at every opportunity. You are responsible to provide professional service to our guests, ensuring their visit will become a memorable experience.

You will be fully responsible for all aspects of the hotels food operation. Managing the kitchen & stewarding department whilst maintaining a high level of food production and service

The a la carte restaurant at Cove 55 is known locally as a destination restaurant and you will be required to create regular changing innovative menus. Cove 55 is known as a special place for weddings and events with various venues throughout the resort

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/CHARACTER

The ideal candidate will be a friendly, honest, dedicated and reliable individual. You will work well under pressure and enjoy working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike, while possessing following additional competencies:

  • Previous experience in similar position within a 4/5* Hotel or high quality restaurant
  • Creative in a la carte menu planning, development and cooking to a high standard
  • Proven experience catering for meetings, events & weddings
  • Have a good knowledge of recipes and cooking methods
  • Show a good command of the English language
  • Be self-motivated, proactive and solution driven
  • Be a strong leader and manager
  • To be passionate about cooking and positive in you approach to work
  • To maintain a high level of personal and kitchen hygiene
