Kitchen Steward

Responsibilities:

  • Helping and assisting with food preparation.
  • Upkeep and maintenance of the culinary garden.
  • Helping and assisting within other areas of the hotel when required
  • The ability to run the day to day operation of any area of the kitchen in the absence of a senior Chef on duty.
  • The ability to taste and season the food appropriately and to ensure it is well presented and of the standard and quality required before serving it to the guest.
  • To always maintain and develop the quality of food serve to the guests and staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in similar position within a 4/5* Hotel or quality F&B outlet
  • Show a good command of the English language
  • Be able to work unsupervised and to a flexible time schedule
  • To always work in an organized, clean & methodical manner
  • To be passionate and positive in you approach to work
  • To arrive at work wanting to do your very best and be a quick learner
  • To maintain a high level of personal and kitchen hygiene
